  3. SpaceFarming is shareware. This means the copyright
  4. to the game stays with the author (me). This is only
  5. a demo version of the game and may be freely distributed
  6. as long as all the files are included. DON'T mess with
  7. the way the files are ordered as the game won't work
  8. if you do. No assigns are needed. You may include this
  9. game on any cover disk/CD-ROM you like, include it
  10. on a PD/Shareware CD-ROM or upload it to any BBS you
  11. like. (Please do this!) Thank you for supporting
  12. shareware...

  14. my written permission.

  17. SpaceFarming is a game pretty similar to the old hit
  18. 'Oil Imperium'. Instead of digging for oil you grow
  19. grain.
  20. The game is set to a future time. Man kind has colonized
  21. space. Many people move out from the surface of the
  22. planets and into space stations orbiting the planets and
  23. stars. These people need food. Importing grain from
  24. planets is expensive so someone came up with the idea of
  25. growing grain in huge space stations orbiting planets
  26. and stars. This would make the grain a lot cheaper and
  27. encourage people to move out from the crowded planets
  28. and into the space stations.
  29. Buy a sector around a planet/star and buy a space station
  30. where you can grow your crops. Also remember to buy a
  31. grain tank (to store your grain in). Sabotage the other
  32. players, dump the grain prices in a system by selling
  33. huge amounts of grain there, build a grain imperium, do
  34. what ever you like. To win the game you must crush all
  35. your opponents (they must be busted). The last player
  36. not bankrupt will win the game.
  37. The game is a multiplayer game. You need at least 2
  38. human players but you can have up to 9 (NINE!) players
  39. at once! (Only 3 in demo version)
  40. The game includes an on-line help system. At any time you
  41. may press the 'Help'-key and you will get help. Place the
  42. mouse pointer over something you don't know what is and
  43. press 'Help' or just place the mouse pointer in an empty
  44. area and press 'Help' to get some general help about the
  45. current screen.
  46. The game is turn based. Each turn is a ½ year. You get
  47. crops each turn.
  48. Try out the game! Use the on-line help and think logical.
  49. If you've ever played Oil Imperium before think of that
  50. game when playing this. It'll help you a lot to get
  51. started.

  53. This is only a demo-version of SpaceFarming and has got
  54. some limitations:
  55. -You can have only 3 players. (9 in full version)
  56. -You can't save/load your games.
  57. -The game stops after about 1 hour.

  59. To get rid of these limitations you must register the game.
  60. In the full game you can also design your own logos. The
  61. demo version includes some duff looking standard logos for
  62. each player.
  63. Other things under development:
  64.  -A serial link option (play at two amigas at once)

  66. The serial link option will be available to all registered
  67. users when finished.
